Happy New Year

In Sunday School, Mrs.Young asked us to pick a saying for the year and at least one New Year's Resolution. We are going to write our resolutions down and put them in an envelope and seal it, then at the end of the year we are going to look at are resolutions we made and see if we kept them.

Wednesday, we went to church at noon to decorate the classroom. One wall says "Remember the Lord in 2010", and we built a stone wall, like the Lord often commanded His people to do. Just in case you were wondering, the rocks are made out of paper, Mrs.Young wouldn't have us bring in real rocks to make a stone wall in her classroom. ;) Some of the rocks we made pockets in, that is where we are going to put our envelopes. Another wall says "Motto's for 2010", and we are going to put are sayings on flowers that are also on that wall.

One of my resolutions is to read the Bible through. I have tried before, but some days I don't read my Bible, and don't feel like reading extra the next day. For Christmas, I got a One Year Bible, so I'm trying again this year. Also, another thing I want to work on this year is to have a servants heart, that will be challenging because I do the things I'm told, but I don't always do it with the right attitude. For the sayings, we could choose one of the sayings she gave us (most every Sunday she gives us a new one), or one that we got out of a book, or even a Bible verse. I thought I was all set with one, but I guess it's not the one God wanted me to have. He totally changed my mind. Psalm 118:24 popped into my head. So, I chose that one instead, which when I thought about it, is what I really need to work on. I need to rejoice in the day that the Lord made, instead of wishing that day was over. The last one is that I'm going to try to go without soda...this WHOLE year! What am I thinking!!!

Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the beautiful work that we did.

Happy 2010!

Christmas Cookies

Saturday, two of my aunts, my grandma, my mom, and me made Christmas cookies. We started at 9:30 (in the morning) and ended around 4:30 (in the afternoon). We made 12 different kinds of cookies. Here are the pictures from the day...

We started off the morning by each of us mixing up a batch of cookies, so when they were all mixed they got put on the cookie sheets to wait their turn to get into the oven.

Around 1 we stopped for lunch.

The guys offered to taste the cookies for us to make sure they weren't poisonous

One of my grandma's jobs every year is to unwrap hersey kisses for peanutbutter blossoms.

Princess Sierra

Yumm!! My favorite kind of cookie is caramel delights! Even the name sounds wonderful.

At the end of the day, we had run out of room for the cookies to go. Some were in my parents room, and the table was full of them. All the cookies were split between both my aunts and my mom. No, we didn't keep all of them. ;)

I hate to admit it, but yes I am related to these people. I am glad that I am totally normal, and not weird at all. ;)

Pizza Hut!

Last Tuesday the whole school went to Pizza Hut for Bro.Cialini's last day being teacher. We had to work in the morning till 11 then we all got ready to go. On the way there the four older girls rode with both Mrs.Brown's, and then on the way back we rode with Mrs.Cialini. Mrs.Cialini surprised us she said that she didn't think she could make it, but she did, I was soo happy! I didn't get a lot of pics but I got a few of the people I was sitting with.

.
On the way there Hannah wanted a pic of me so I took one of her (at the same time) just in case you didn't know. ;)

Isn't Joey so cute.

Hannah had to sit in a booster seat. I was sitting right next to her so I couldn't get all of her, but you get the idea, right?

Awww, how sweet!

Mrs.Cialini wanted to try a piece of Hannah's, so she was cutting a piece of. She concentrates really really hard on what she is doing. :)

WOW! Hannah's got a big mouth, but don't tell her I said that. ;)

Hannah was trying to hide behind her half a piece of pizza. She is soo weird I'm very glad that I'm not like that. ;)

There she is again concentrating very hard. :)

When we got back to school we all went down to the gym. We played wally ball, which is like volley ball but different (hehe I hope that helps), but while we were waiting for the net to be set up we played a good old fashioned game of 8 square (the same as 4 square with more squares). ;) Then because Bro.Cialini is soo nice he didn't give anyone any homework!

Sports Day!

Today at school was sports paraphernalia day. We got to wear sports apparel, like hats and jerseys, and we also got to wear denim and sneakers, and we could chew bubble gum during class. I only ended up wearing a New York Yankees hat and I wore the Yankees colors. I was planing on bringing my camera to school today, but I totally forgot. There were plenty of outfits that I wanted to take pictures of. I was very mad when I realized that I didn't put it in my bag this morning.

This is the hat that I wore.

In the afternoons when we get picked up from school we have to go to Marion High School, and then from there we go onto different buses and are taken home. So on our way to the high school, Hannah dared me to wear my hat backwards when I got off the bus and keep it like that until I got home. Of course I would do that! But it wasn't just me, all of us that had brought hats ended up wearing them like that. I don't know about everyone else but I got a lot of weird looks. When I got on my bus everyone was staring at me with those same weird looks. Do you believe that any one would look at me weird? I am one of the most normal people that you will ever meet. :)

Tomorrow is Bro.Cialini's last day being our teacher. :( He is going to be moving down to Humphrey this week. So being his last day tomorrow the whole school gets to go to Pizza Hut for lunch, and I plan on taking pictures, I already put my camera in my bag. :)

Poor Me

Look at that, I was making sloppy joe pizza for dinner tonight and I burnt my hand! I was taking the pizza out and hit the side of the pan. I didn't even realize I did it because it didn't hurt and still doesn't. I must be really tough. ;) So, don't you feel bad for me? Maybe I should lie and say, oh, ouch, it hurts really really bad, so you will feel bad for me. :)

What a Busy Weekend!

Well it all started Friday afternoon. My mom has been sick for a couple of weeks now, it first started out as a cold, and then turned into bronchitis. She went to the doctors, and they told her that she needed to go to the ER.So she came back home and my Aunt came and brought my mom and me to the ER, it was about 4:30 when we got there. My dad and brother had left that afternoon to go up north for the weekend. It takes four in a half hours to get up there they were about 10 minutes away and they turned around and came back because my mom was going to be admitted. So what is normally like 4 hours turned into an 8 hour trip. I went to the Secores house to spend the night so I would still be able to go down to Bro. Cialini's church and help hang door hangers. Then Saturday I was gone all day down to Humphrey and my dad and brother spent most of the day at the hospital with my mom. Saturday when we got home from Humphrey I went back to the Secores house and spent the night again. Sunday I went with Vicki on the bus route. After morning service we went back on the bus and went to the Senecals where they gave rides on the lift to all the bus kids. After all the kids got dropped off, I went and spent the afternoon with the Senecals. Mrs. Senecal took Elisabeth and me to the hospital to visit my mom. She was looking alot better Sunday then Saturday. Sunday night I spent the night at the Senecals and spent all day Monday with them, since I didn't have any school. Last night my mom came home, and still wasn't feeling well. She was having more chest pain and having some trouble breathing, so my dad brought her back to the hospital. They are keeping her over night again tonight to keep an eye on her. I forgot to mention what she has, she has pneumonia. It was very nice to be able to sleep in my own bed last night, since i hadn't all weekend. :)

Aren't those flowers gorgeous, my mom really enjoyed them. :)

Making Applesauce at the Charland's House

Today, Hannah, Bethany, Vicki, and I went to the Charlands to help Mrs. Charland make applesauce. Hannah, Beth, and I were the first ones there, Vicki came later after soul winning. We were peeling and cutting apples and cutting and peeling apples more! It was loads of fun, well kinda. ;) One of us would take care of the kids and the other three would work. Mrs.Charland was the full time cooker and caner. When she could, she helped us cut or peel the apples. We had 2 more grocery bags left full of apples, but she said she would finish them another day. We took many breaks but did get a lot accomplished. It seemed like there should be thousands of cans of applesauce, I don't know how much we got done but I do know that there should have been more. :) Working with a knife all day you would think I would have cut fingers off or been at the emergency room, but I only got cut twice and only one of them bled. But those are the only injuries I attained today. ;)

Bethany was putting together the thingy that mushed up the apples I have no idea what it is called, although I asked a bunch of times today. ;)

This is the messy table, but this was only at the beginning of the day. You should have seen it by the end of the day. :)

Hannah was taste testing.

Beth stirring apples.

Sorry Elisabeth I didn't take very many pics, but Mrs.Charland had us hard at work. ;)
